All About the Horses

At the end of the day, Tad Coffin and his staff are all working to improve saddles for the horses. The discomfort of a inflexible saddle can cause a lifetime of pain for a horse who is constantly in one. Also, they can be damaged even when not being shown anymore due to the saddle. Some companies rely on read outs, sensor pads, and pressure pads to configure how a saddle is performing on a saddle. Tad doesn't believe in these methods. Instead, he believes that nothing will more honest than the actual horse that is in the saddle. It just take someone who knows how to read the horse's body language to achieve the real answer on whether the saddle is good or not.

Redefining an Industry

Tad believes that making saddles should focus on the horses and how it will make riding better for them. Without them, there would be no riding, so their comfort should be top priority. When asked what sets his business apart from other saddle makers he said, "[Businesses] make saddles to make money. We make saddles because we believe that is a piece of equipment with tremendous undiscovered potential and we want to find out that potential. As we are discovering that, we recognize how much more beneficial it is to horses and riders in comfort and performance
