Tad Coffin Performance Saddles is a saddle shop located on a farm outside of Charlottesville, VA. Tad Coffin, the owner, has been involved in saddle design since 1976 and began his own quest for saddle enhancement in the early 90s by opening his own shop. Tad has a long history with horses, with his riding career starting when he was 10 years old. Tad won individual and team gold medals at the Pan American Games in Mexico in 1975 and repeated this success at the Montreal Olympic games the following year. Tad introduced a new way of manufacturing saddles, after careful research on horses. Currently, the designs of the saddles continue to evolve and improve.
